Today, on November 8, Algirdas Shemeta, the Business Ombudsman in Ukraine visited Vinnytsia region. Within the framework of the working visit, he presented the activities of the business ombudsman Council with the participation of the business community of the region and the authorities.

In particular, he reported that the Council is a consultative and advisory body of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which represents and protects the Ukrainian business in government helps to fight against corruption and other unlawful actions and promotes investment attractiveness of Ukraine.

The authority is working since May 2015 on the basis of CMU Decree on the establishment of the business ombudsman, the Regulations, approved by the Supervisory Board and the internal rules.

"For half a year of the business ombudsman Council activity in Ukraine, more than 1,300 complaints were received from the Ukrainian businessmen. The registered entrepreneurs or those, who only plans to start its activities, can submit them in electronic form. Previously the complaint considers  within three working days, and on condition of acceptability, within three months a thorough consideration of the removal of recommendations for elimination of this problem is held",- said Algirdas Shemeta.

According to the words of business ombudsman, the main bodies, whose decisions are frequently challenged, are the State Fiscal Service, security forces and local authorities. The subject of the complaints are the tax inspections, actions of government regulators, changes in legislation, the delay of VAT refund and its electronic administration.

A good indicator is that the Vinnytsia region occupies the penultimate place in the number of complaints from local businesspersons.

In total, during the existence of the business ombudsman Council, 76% of all investigations were successfully closed and the positive decisions were handed down for entrepreneurs.

Also during his visit, Algirdas Shemeta visited the company of "Vinnitsa factory packaging products "Vintar ", specializing in the production of canned fish of different species, represented in the Ukrainian market for 10 years.

The guest toured the manufacturing process, met with the management on the subject of existing barriers in doing business, and gave relevant recommendations; also, he has received a pleasant experience at the end of the visit.
