A long-term cooperation connects Vinnitsa city center of artistic and choreographic education of children and youth "Barvinok" with the creative collectives of Georgia.
Within this cooperation and the assistance of the Vinnitsa Regional State Administration, the folk dance ensemble "Barvinok" from October 31 to November 6 visited Batumi (Georgia) with the concerts. "Barvinok" received an official invitation from the Organization of international festivals, competitions and other cultural events of «ART BATUMI».
A creative visit of Vinnitsa children with the "Barvinok" ensemble in Adjara turned into a celebration of friendship between the Ukrainian and Georgian peoples, starting from communication with the ordinary people and ending by official meetings with the authorities of the city of Batumi and members of the Ajaria Autonomous Republic.
In particular, the meeting of Peter Boyko, the director and artistic director of Vinnitsa city center of artistic and choreographic education of children and youth "Barvinok", the national artist of Ukraine, the teachers and students of "Barvinok", and Sulikom Tebidze, First Deputy of Minister, who cares about the education, Natia Sirabidze, Deputy of Minister, who oversees the culture of the region, was held in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Autonomous Republic of Adjara. They have expressed the admiration of the level of training the young artists and the system of the "Barvinok" Center work and found out a great interest to establish the cooperation with educational institutions and culture of Vinnitsa, exchange of delegations, creative collectives to study the experience the functioning and strengthening of friendly relations between the Ukrainian and Georgian peoples.
In addition, there was a meeting of representatives of the "Barvinok" with Giorgi Ermakov, the Mayor of Batumi and the representatives of the city authorities. Batumi City authorities expressed the hope for closer cooperation with Ukraine, especially with the city of Vinnitsa, not only at the level of exchange of creative collectives, but also at the highest official level.
The concerts of Vinnitsa dancers aroused great interest in dance circles of Georgia. At the final gala concert of friendship, in which "Barvinok" presented a program to residents of Georgia, lasting more than an hour, were also attended by dance groups from all over Adjara.
At the end of the visit, "Barvinok" returned with awards, diplomas, and the unforgettable memories.
In addition, currently, Valeriy Koroviy, Head of the Vinnitsa Regional State Administration and Zurab Pataradze, Head of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Georgia, have exchanged with the letters of intent, concerning the cooperation between the regions.
