The implementation of the EU project
The implementation of the EU project "Centre for Adaptation of immigrants and entrepreneurs from the antiterrorist operation area and Crimea in Vinnitsa region" has entered the final stage

Today, on November 17, a press conference in the framework of the EU project «Centre for Adaptation of immigrants and entrepreneurs from the antiterrorist operation area and Crimea in Vinnitsa region" was held in Vinnitsa. Volodymyr Merezhko, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Regional Development of Regional State Administration, Myroslava Didukh, the project manager of the EU Delegation in Ukraine and Valeriy Nykytiuk, the project director, were present there.

We remind that the project is implemented within the framework of the EU "Support to Regional Development Policy in Ukraine" at the expense of the European Union (90%) and regional budget (10%).

In the framework of the project, financial assistance to business immigrants through compensation costs for equipment, tools and materials was carried out.

During the press conference, Volodymyr Merezhko told about the state of the project and marked:

"First of all, we would like to thank the EU Delegation in Ukraine in the face of Myroslava Didukh because thanks to their support, we are able to implement the project. EU funds amounted for 320 thousand Euros, from the regional budget 40 thousand Euro were allocated. As for today, 23 winners got the financial assistance, and the total amount of the received compensation is more than 4.9 million UAH. Due to the project realisation, 118 workplaces were created in Vinnitsa region. I would like to mention a successful information campaign, including website creation and professionally implemented project activities: round tables, workshops, training for immigrants and entrepreneurs. "

In her turn, Myroslava Didukh said:

"This project is just a small part of the complex aid that the EU gives Ukraine as for regional development, in response to the crisis and for economic development and decentralization. This project will benefit both, immigrants and the community that accepts them - in this case the Vinnitsa town. Besides humanitarian aid, the EU allocates funds to support people, who have lost their homes. Next year we look forward to the implementation of several major projects that will aim to support small businesses for immigrants, support the decentralization process and economic development. "

Valery Nykytiuk, the director of the EU project "Centre for Adaptation of immigrants and entrepreneurs from the antiterrorist operation area and Crimea in Vinnitsa region» thanked for cooperation and assistance to the EU Delegation in Ukraine and said that despite all the obstacles, the project was carried out in a professional manner.

"Today we can talk about the successful completion of the project. All of its assets will be transferred to the Regional Development Agency, which will continue to engage in cooperation with the settlers. In particular, on November 8, Agency has conducted a credit fair, where the migrants-entrepreneurs were invited, who were worked under the current project. We would like this positive example to continued. "

After the press conference, media representatives attended the press tour, during which they visited three entrepreneurs-migrants, who have received the financial assistance for the development of their own business: repairing furniture, clothing, and companies, specializing in the manufacture of personal fire protection.
