The official delegation of Vinnitsa region visited Lodz Province in the Republic of Poland with a working visit

On November 14-15, an official delegation of Vinnitsa region, headed by Gyzhko A., First Deputy of the Head of Regional State Administration, with Nikitiuk V., an acting Director of Regional Development Agency of Vinnitsa region, Hmil I., Deputy of Head of the executive office of Regional Council, with an official visit will be in Lodz Province of the Republic of Poland to participate in the IX European Economic Forum.

On November 14, the delegation, together with other members of the Forum, took part in the site visit to the Kutno city of Lodz Province, where they got acquainted with the functioning of the railway container terminal PCC Intermodal - the first fully functional logistics-handling centre that could serve cargoes, arriving and departing from central Poland to east, west, and north-south. In addition, the members of the delegation with the Mayor of Kutno city, Mr. Zbigniew Buginsky, visited the special economic zone in Kutno, which is one of the parts of the Lodz Special Economic Zone. Mr. Buginsky briefed the delegates with a history of a special economic zone and its benefits for facilities that operate in it, and the city itself, in which it is located, and informed about the benefits and tax incentives in the framework of the zone. (Note: special economic zone in Kutno operates since 2003. Today 30 large companies employ about 8 thousand people. The last year income in the budget of Kutno from the special economic zone was more than PLN 220 million).

After being acquainted with special economic zone, Mr. Mayor carried out a small tour around Kutno, showing the most successful investment projects, including municipal water park and the centre of active leisure (in which the locals can visit the swimming pool, solarium, fitness room with the latest equipment, play squash and bowling). The total amount of investments is 41 million zlotys. In addition, Mr. Buginsky showed the delegates the European Centre for baseball to host World Children's League. After the sightseeing tour, an official meeting was held in the city mayor's office,   during which Mr. Mayor presented his city, its potential and briefly introduced with the main investment achievements. Also the Director of PCC Intermodal in Kutno - Mr. Voychyeh Skshypinskyy, spoke on the activities of the terminal, its value for the region and Poland, and also shared his plans for the future.

After a visit to the Kutno city, Ukrainian delegation took part in panel discussions and exhibitions of the ninth European Economic Forum, including the cooperation of the Visegrad Four, their experience in regional cooperation and areas of cooperation with neighbouring countries and China. In addition, the economic trends in the European and global economy, prospective industry to attract investment and export-import operations were also discussed during the panels.

During the Forum, the delegation of Vinnitsa region had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Dariusz Klimchak, Vice Marshal of Lodz Province and Mrs. Dorota Pisarsk, Deputy Director of the Department of Promotion and International Cooperation of Marshal council, with which the perspective directions of Lodz-Vinnitsa cooperation and issues of mutual exchange of delegations to share experiences were discussed.

After the Forum, the delegates visited Lodz Art_Inkubator that assists companies with creative industries in the most difficult time of their activity, that is the beginning and during the first years of operation. The companies, within the business incubator, are encouraged to develop, using favourable conditions, such as having access to the premises of various types, a powerful platform of electronic services, as well as consultants and trainers. This is the first comprehensive project of support the entrepreneurship in the art industry in Poland.

Also, Vinnitsa delegation visited the solemn ceremony ''The most powerful ones in business in 2016'', in which the leading firms of Lodz Province were awarded.
