Vinnitsa doctors were trained in Lodz, Poland Republic

With the assistance of the Department of International Cooperation and Regional Development, 17-21 November 2016, a delegation of doctors of the Vinnitsa region visited Lodz Voivodship, Republic of Poland. They took part in the KOPERNIK 2016 Conference of the medical emergency, under which, one day was devoted to the trainings and workshops to provide the medical emergency and two days of scientific and practical conference, dedicated to the organization of pre-hospital care, innovative offers and some ethical problems.

In particular, during training sessions and workshops, the doctors of Vinnitsa Centre for emergency medical care and disaster medicine had the opportunity to acquire and improve their skills in providing care to patients in a terminal condition, namely: tracheal intubation, ultrasound of the chest, including the lungs, chest compressions, according to the ACLS protocol, hardware chest compression on the ACLS protocol, neonatal resuscitation.

In addition, Vinnitsa delegates visited and familiarized with the organization of the emergency room of the multidisciplinary Provincial Hospital, named by Copernicus.

During a scientific and practical conference, which highlighted the main principles of the organization of emergency medical care in Poland, the latest developments, including immobilization, hardware compression of the chest, technical support of manipulation to restore patency of airway route, the devices to establish intraosseous access and transportation patients, development of new life-support systems, were presented.

As part of the of panel sessions of a conference, Nadia Dmytrivna Marusyak, Deputy of Director  of the Health Department of the Vinnitsa regional state administration, performed the report on "Organization of emergency medical care in Vinnitsa and Vinnitsa region".

The result of the visit was an agreement on further cooperation with the possibility of training of Vinnitsa region doctors in the hospitals of Lodz.
