Pricing processes on the consumer market of the region in October 2016

Department of International Cooperation and Regional Development of Regional State Administration conducted a comparative analysis of retail prices for socially important goods (according to price monitoring, which is provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine). The analysis shows that the average price of most socially important goods in Vinnitsa region is lower than the average in Ukraine. Thus, at the beginning of November 2016, the average retail price of 21 products from 25 analysed, is less than the average for Ukraine.

For such foods as butter with fat content of 72-73%, the lard, the beef and pork, the average retail prices in the region are significantly lower than the average in Ukraine: at 4.53 UAH / kg, 4.09 € / kg, 1, 89 UAH / kg and 1,20 UAH / kg, respectively. The only exception is rice (0,10 UAH / kg), poultry (chicken carcass - 1.43 UAH / kg), a soft cheese with fat content  9% (1.32 UAH / kg) and sunflower oil (0.40 UAH / l).

Also we note that the real price situation is characterized by the consumer price index, which in the Vinnitsa region in October 2016 in relation to December 2015, was 107.3%, in Ukraine - 109.4%, in October to September 2016, this index was 102.0% in Vinnitsa region, in Ukraine - 102.8%. Among the regions of Ukraine in terms of "consumer price index" in October to September 2016, Vinnitsa region took the fifth place, by December 2015 - the second place.
